MIHAN (Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur) is a special economic zone and airport-linked hub on Nagpur's south side, run by the Maharashtra Airport Development Company. It is operational, with IT campuses (TCS, HCL, Infosys, Tech Mahindra), aviation maintenance (Air India Engineering Services, Indamer), aerospace (Tata Advanced Systems, Dassault Reliance Aviation) and pharma (Lupin).

Why did MIHAN take so long?
MIHAN was announced in the early 2000s and spent years with slow occupancy, land issues and delays, which made many early buyers nearby impatient. Growth picked up once large IT campuses, aviation maintenance and aerospace units started running, and as roads, the metro to Khapri and the Samruddhi Mahamarg improved connections. The lesson for land buyers: infrastructure-led areas can take a decade, so buy with a long horizon and an approved, registered project.
